She is pleased to offer a wide variety of educational programs, including one-day lectures, weekend retreat seminars and services to meet the needs of not only healthcare professionals, but others as well. These lectures teach the ability to implement different art therapy projects specifically designed for your population and needs. Seminars combine art with traditional psychotherapy techniques to obtain a deeper insight. Workshops attendees will be taught to identify indications in the artwork that suggest abuse, depression and anxiety. These courses will be constructed with a mixture of lecture, art therapy task participation, discussion and digital image presentations of case studies.

What Is Art Therapy?
A General Overview for Those Seeking a Different Career Path. This provides a history of the pioneers and the theoretical basis within the art therapy field. Art Therapy is the field where the worlds of art and psychology meet The audience who will benefit from this course are people who are searching for ways to understand their own personal motivations expressed in their art work as well as those in the field of Education who wish to enhance their ability to help others.
The major areas of emphasis will include:
1. The history of Art Therapy and the pioneers in the field, as well as study of contemporary Art Therapists contributing to the advancement of the profession.
2. Different techniques used in the application of Art Therapy.
3. Discussion of populations that benefit from Art Therapy are where the agencies are that are currently using Art Therapy as a mode of healing.
During the course the instructional methods used will include both lecture and participation in an art studio environment.
Art Therapy and Anxiety Disorders
This course will use art therapy techniques to further the student’s understanding of a biopsychosocial perspective on all the disorders that fall under the category of anxiety disorders, which include PTSD, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, panic as well as Eating and Sleeping Disorders. Models of specific therapeutic art tasks will be presented and experienced based on symptom management and rational psychotherapy. Significant attention is paid to treatment interventions with numerous opportunities for hands-on art therapy skill development. Case studies are presented in detail.
Art Therapy and Grief and Loss Issues
This course will use art therapy techniques to further the student’s understanding of a biopsychosocial perspective on all the disorders that fall under the category of grief, which include loss through death, divorce, illness, natural disaster, and accident. Models of specific therapeutic art tasks will be presented and experienced based on symptom management and rational psychotherapy. Significant attention is paid to treatment interventions with numerous opportunities for hands-on art therapy skill development. Case studies are presented in detail.
Art Therapy with Adolescents
This course will use art therapy techniques to further the student’s understanding of a biopsychosocial perspective on all the disorders that fall under the category of adolescence , which include puberty and body issues, social hierarchies, stress and anxiety related to future plans and the expectations of others. Models of specific therapeutic art tasks will be presented and experienced based on symptom management and rational psychotherapy. Models of specific therapeutic art tasks will be presented and experienced based on symptom management and rational psychotherapy. Building Group Cohesiveness at Work Through Art Therapy
This course will use art therapy techniques to further the student’s understanding of a biopsychosocial perspective on all the disorders that fall under the category of group cohesiveness, which include trust, individualism, group dynamics and positive interaction. Models of specific therapeutic art tasks will be presented and experienced based on symptom management and rational psychotherapy. Significant attention is paid to treatment interventions with numerous opportunities for hands-on art therapy skill development. Case studies are presented in detail.
